This novella was a quick read and it was interesting. Interesting to think that a mail order bride during this time may have happened. I did enjoy Mammie and would love to have read more about her.

Mammie, Stephen's Grandmother writes to Sally and she comes to Waterhole expecting to marry Stephen.
She has a secret and he doesn't want a bride.
I enjoyed their journey and liked the book.

Follow along as Steven meets & learns to love the bride that Mammie's loving matchmaker efforts bring to town for him-(& the little family she brings along)
One of my favorites written by Teresa Gives Lilly. You never know what God has in store for you. You need to look for the silver lining in every situation.

Stephen Calloway is tough on the outside and knows what he wants and it certainly isn't the mail order bride that his grandmother Mamie arranged for him. Begrudgingly, he travels to town to meet the woman conned into coming to Waterhole Texas and send her on her way, until he finds her with four kids and no home to go back too.
His strong sense of right and wrong won't let him abandon her so he let's her work on his ranch with his grandmother, determined to find her a husband.
As the struggle to find her a husband continues, he grows closer to her and the children. It takes a threat on her life for him to understand that the Lord works in mysterious ways.
Mammie's mail order Bride is a delightful story of despair, hope and love. I highly recommend this book.
If you like long short stories or novellas, the old west and Christian mail order bride stories, this book is for you. Stephen's grandmother wants more little children around and writes to a woman pretending to be Stephen in search of a mail order wife. Sally shows up with four children she hadn't even mentioned in her letters and not knowing Stephen hadn't written the letters she received. The confusion and attraction begins and the fun is watching the cords unravel and get knitted together the way the reader knew from the start that they need to be. The story is rich and complete. I was given a free copy of this novella for an honest review. I honestly recommend it to anyone enjoying a quick love story, and I honestly look forward to more from this author.u
