This was my first read from author Aubrey Irons and I liked it!While the theme of the story has been done before and there weren't a lot of surprises, the writing flowed well and the plot line was well thought out and engaging...I was never bored because the action kept a steady pace. Connor and Sierra were good together, believable, with just the right amount of angst and steam.
I love a series where the books can be read as stand alones, because I don't like cliff hangers and even though there is cross over and recurring characters the author offers enough explanation so you don't have to feel like you've missed something if you haven't read a previous book. I liked this story enough that I may go back and read the others in the series, but I'm really looking forward to what comes next with the Dark Saints storyline.

This is my first book of Aubrey but it will not be my last. I fell in love with th main characters almost instantly. The attraction bete these too is kindle melting. I think everyone at one point or another has felt like Serena, I know I related to her. I think I could read about them for forever.
I had just read the Begging for Bad Boys box set. Which was awesome. Aubrey had a story in there so I knew some of the characters. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Sierra doesn't know who to trust and doesn't go down without a fight. A bad man gone good. There are some wild ups and downs. The extended bonus was awesome too!
Connor, a fixer for the Dark Saints Irish Mafia, is taking care of a problem that Sierra witnesses, and that turns her into a problem. Connor knows he should kill her, but he just can't do it and kidnaps her instead. This was a great read that I highly recommend. Don't miss this one, you'll be sorry. I couldn't put it down. The book starts with Sierra who finds her boyfriend cheating on her in a dive bar where he is in a band. She walks out drinks even more and makes out with a bad boy. While trying to find the exit she walks in on something she shouldn't and instead of being killed she is kidnapped by the bad boy she kissed earlier. What will happen next?
Some of the best things in life are completely unexpected. Sierra didn't expect to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Connor didn't expect to kidnap a witness. They certainly didn't expect the fireworks that came after. This mans man bad boy and spicy stubborn good girl turn out to be just what the other needed. Throw in some guns and bad guys and you end up with a heck of a book that almost melted my . The sex scenes are raw, believable, and honest without the usual silly fake descriptors. A very good, steamy read.
Sierra and Connor and the Saints have been a great surprise, I loved the mix of action and love, the bad boy and the princess, the dark side pushed aside by this strong superhero attitude, with a strong commanding personality that keeps you dreaming of what will happened after, and you Mrs Aubrey have been diabolical making us waiting an entire week to know what had happened after the beautiful end u wrote and I have been dreaming and trashing imaging what u would have given them and how far in the future, sometimes is good to know that in dreams everything is still possible...
Sierra and Connor meet at a bar on a night where she sees him kill someone when she stumbles into a back room. Connor knows he should eliminate her, but is still intrigued by their kiss a few moments earlier when Sierra drunkenly went for it. Sierra acted childish and was just plain ridiculous at points. For a woman who was supposedly in graduate school, got good grades and had a good head on her shoulders, she made some seriously poor decisions in this book. She repeatedly acted like a child and did not do anything to redeem herself in my eyes throughout this book. She gets herself into a bad situation with her ex that Connor has to get her out of and all she can think about is getting herself off? Just no. Connor was an enigma to me and while I kind of liked how he protected those he loved, I didn't like how he didn't keep Sierra in line more. His past was tragic and he owned that so I could relate to him going into the "family" business. I just wanted a bit more of him showing a tender side I guess. Overall an okay read.
